Hello and Welcome to Year 4!
This year we delve into the depths of Roman Britain, become Mayan builders and designers and we even explore the USA!
In Year Four children are encouraged to become active learners, taking responsibility for their own learning. This is also an important year for children to become more independent, preparing them for their journey into upper key stage two. We encourage each child to try their best in every aspect of school life. Children learn best when they feel safe, stimulated and above all happy. We aim to ensure that all children feel valued and have an enjoyable, fun and successful year in Year 4. We work hard to support the children to enable them to flourish and we promote a sense of pride in everything they accomplish .Take it from us, we love nothing more than to celebrate their achievements!
New adventures await us this year: making our first holy communion, our class trip back in time to Roman Chester, weekly swimming lessons and we even have an action packed day at Rock and River outdoor pursuit centre planned. We are certainly going to be busy bees!
Everything you need to know about our daily life in Year 4 can be found in the ‘Parents Information’ section below. It is important to remember that both Mr Topham and I are happy to help and support you and your child in any way we can. We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead!
