A warm welcome to Year 5!
We are very pleased to welcome all our children and their families to Year 5 as they begin their journey into Upper Key Stage 2. Year 5 is an exciting and challenging year for the children as they develop a more mature and independent approach towards their learning. These skills will be explored throughout the year during a variety of tasks and lessons to provide the key foundations that will prepare the children for the challenges of Year 6.
Children learn best when they feel safe, stimulated and, above all, happy. In Year 5, we aim to ensure that all children feel valued and have an enjoyable and successful time with us. We will work hard to support the children to enable them to achieve their full potential, be proud of themselves and succeed in reaching their own personal goals.
As a parent myself, I understand the key role that you, as parents and carers, play in the education of your child and thank you all for your ongoing support. You will find lots of useful information about daily life in Year 5 in the “Meet the Teacher” document below but, if you do have any questions, please contact me using Class Dojo and I will get back to you as soon as possible. This way we can work together to do our very best for your child. You can also keep up to date with what we have been up to by following our posts on Class Dojo’s Class Story.
